It was sometime around 2003. Bob and Bogart are sittin' around and shooting the breeze. They are going on about all these different things that are causing some problems with forming a band, and there is talk of how life is like a Greek tragedy. Bogart comments, "Man, sometimes I feel like I have the sword of Damocles hanging over my head." They both snapped to attention simultaneously and exclaimed, "That's the name of the band!" A little research is done on alternate spellings, accepted pronunciation, and Damokleez is born. We pronounce it: dam-uh-kleez. Of course,"Rock on the Edge" following naturally.
This time around, we did some further research to make sure that no one had snagged our cool name during the interim. JD's band Ohms Law had come so very close to breaking out of the box and making it big, and they had also had a cool name. But if you check on the Internet these days, you'd be hard-pressed to come up with anything about the original hit band of Ohms Law. You'd have to be from the southwest area to know about it. However, there are at least four different bands in the USA alone that have decided to take up playing under that cool name, playing various genre ranging from punk electronic, to blues, to rock and roll.
Damokleez - Rocking on the edge once more.
